A WARM WELCOME FROM THE XAVIER TRUST TEAM

The Xavier Catholic Education Trust  Management Team consists of Ani Magill, CEO, James Kibble, Deputy CEO, Ceri Murray, Operations Director and Nicola Kenworthy, Chief Financial Officer. Xavier is currently compromised of 14 school across Surrey. We run teacher training and leadership training and we provide central services, so our schools can concentrate on the important role of educating children. Combined with the expertise of the XCET team, our Board of Directors and the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton we strive for excellence in all areas of our work and we cherish every child in our care.

XCET DEPUTY CEO – James Kibble
“I have been the Headteacher at Salesian since 2006 and since the formation of the Xavier Trust, have been delighted to have the opportunity to serve our wider family of Catholic schools as Deputy CEO. I look after secondary education and our professional development provision through Teach South East.”

XCET OPERATIONS DIRECTOR – Ceri Murray
“Following a rewarding career as a children’s magazine publisher, I was lucky enough to land at Salesian School as School Business Manager in 2017 which gave me a brilliant grounding in education management. In my role as Director of Operations for XCET I’m responsible for leading central operational services to support our schools in delivering an outstanding education for each child.”

XCET CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER – Nicola Kenworthy
“As a Chartered Accountant, my background is in the world of banking where I was latterly Head of Tax. I entered the education sector via the Teaching School and took on responsibility for the Trust schools’ finances at its founding in 2016.”

XCET TRUST ACCOUNTANT – Helen Spink

I am a Chartered Accountant and I have 15 years experience in a global conglomerate. I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Trust.

XCET FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER – Bethan Whyman

I am a Fellow Chartered Accountant, having trained at Deloitte in financial services audit before working for a decade in commercial finance for leading global FMCG and retail companies.  I have worked for the Trusts finance department for three years, with a focus on delivering cost efficiencies and income maximisation.

XCET FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER – Clare Benbow

I work alongside Headteachers in primary settings to provide high quality financial management information, professional advice to support decision making and preparation of annual and 3 year budgets. Before taking the leap into education, I previously worked as a group financial controller for a global transportation and logistics corporation for 15 years.

XCET FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER – Clare Barber

Prior to joining the education industry in 2005, I worked as a Financial Accountant for a multi national company. I currently provide a financial management service for a Primary School within the Trust, Teach SouthEast and Teaching School.

XCET FINANCE ASSISTANT – Sarah Dennis

As a qualified Bookkeeper, my career started in the receivables finance sector where I was a Client Account Manager. Prior to joining the Trust, I was a Bursar/SBM with over 5 years experience at a Surrey Infant School. I provide support to the Central Finance Team and two XCET Finance Business Partners.


XCET HR TEAM

XCET HEAD OF HR- Nikki Shephard

My first career was teaching with 32 years working in schools, the majority as Headteacher and Principal. I retrained in Human Resources because I believe that it is the staff that make the biggest difference to the success of schools.  Since joining the Trust in 2017 I have led the HR processes and work alongside Headteachers and managers in our schools supporting staff with recruitment, induction, attendance, performance, training, staff well-being and exit interviews.

XCET HR Advisor – Clare Frankland

I am CIPD qualified with more than 10 years’ experience as an HR generalist.  I passionately believe that people should fulfil their true potential and I recently qualified as an Executive Coach.  I joined the Trust in 2019 and I use warmth, compassion, and enthusiasm to work in partnership with schools, delivering a proactive and pragmatic HR service across the Trust.


XCET CENTRAL SUPPORT TEAM

XCET SAFEGUARDING LEAD – Anne Halliday

I have worked in education for 25 years and prior to joining the Trust was Headteacher of the Virtual School in Merton. I am passionate about safeguarding children.  I work alongside Headteachers, Designated Safeguarding Leads, Governors and colleagues within the Central Team to implement the Trust’s safeguarding strategy, quality assure compliance and promote the Trust’s commitment to ensure every child is kept safe, can flourish and reach their full potential. 

XCET EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST – Alison D’Amario

With a long standing background in the education sector, my experience involves supporting children with a wide range of educational needs. Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), I also hold chartered status from the British Psychological Society (BPS).

XCET SEND LEAD – Charlie Allison

I work alongside Headteachers, SENDCo’s, Parents and Children with SEND in all Xavier schools. I provide support to develop efficient and successful provision, ensuring SEND systems are in place and children are fully supported. I offer support and training to teachers and LSA’s in managing SEND needs within each school setting. Additionally I run the SEND networks, ensuring that new innovative and best practice are shared across all the Xavier schools.

XCET PRIMARY DEVELOPMENT LEAD – Michelle Sebo

I work alongside Headteachers and teachers with in the Trust, offering support to improve learning and teaching as well as coaching teachers. With previous experience as a Primary School Headteacher, I bring a wealth of expertise in  the development of curriculum subjects and provide appropriate CPD training. I am fortunate to work in all of our primary schools where we put the children at the heart of every decision we make.

XCET PRIMARY DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT – Helen Curtis

“I work in different capacities across our schools. I am based in St Charles as a teacher and SLT . I work for the MAT Primary Development team,  for a day a week supporting schools and leading the Maths coordinator group. I also work for the NEHS Maths Hub, based at SJB where I am the Primary Maths Hub Lead.” 

XCET PRIMARY DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT (EYFS) – Hayley Seuke

“I support teachers and headteachers to improve teaching and learning in the EYFS and Key Stage 1. Through visiting schools, network meetings and delivering CPD sessions I share best practise across the Multi Academy Trust.”

XCET ART AND DT DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT – Charlotte Cala

Charlotte works alongside the Art & Design and DT subject leaders in all MAT primary schools. Her aim is to act as a critical friend and to support Art and DT leaders in a quest to focus on Teaching and Learning.


XCET PREMISES TEAM

XCET ESTATES MANAGER – Paul Harte

“A time-served engineer, my skills cover 25 years in construction project management and facilities project management. I contribute to and lead the implementation of an estates strategy for all the schools within the Xavier Catholic Education Trust. Working closely with the CEO, the Finance Team, the Board of Directors and the Premises teams  I manage all aspects of the Trust’s academy properties including upkeep, care, maintenance, security, health and safety and facilities management in line with statutory and regulatory requirements. I oversee refurbishment, expansion and other building advancements in terms of bidding, developing, procuring and implementing building projects within the Trust.”

XCET MULITSITE FACILITIES – James Smith

“My role is to provide Facility Management support to the schools and contribute to the schools’ decisions regarding premises management and to advise schools on the development of their Premises Teams. I provide information to progress variations, life cycle replacement programmes to monitor external contracts within a set financial framework, and drive quality and performance standards. I previously worked at St John Bosco in Battersea College as a Facilities Manager for 3 years.”

“With over 18 years of IT support experience in the education sector, I am well placed to manage the ever changing IT needs across the Trust. I have seen significant change in that time but the core purpose remains the same, to ensure schools have the technology needed to deliver first class teaching and learning.”
